2024 Nfl Draft First Round Grades

NFL Draft Roundup: Offensive Players Dominate First Round

Six Quarterbacks Selected in First 12 Picks

The first round of the 2024 NFL Draft was a feast for offensive players, with six quarterbacks being taken in the first 12 picks. The Chicago Bears made headlines by trading up to select Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze, who is widely considered one of the best playmakers in the draft.

Quarterback Carousel

The quarterback carousel was in full swing on Thursday night, with several teams making bold moves to secure their future signal-callers. The Indianapolis Colts traded up to select Bryce Young with the first overall pick, while the Houston Texans grabbed C.J. Stroud with the second pick. The Carolina Panthers and Las Vegas Raiders also traded into the top 10 to select Anthony Richardson and Cade Klubnik, respectively.

Bears' Big Move

The Bears' decision to trade up for Odunze was a surprise to many, but it makes sense considering their need for a dynamic playmaker in the passing game. Odunze is a 6-foot-3, 200-pound receiver with excellent speed and athleticism. He was one of the most productive receivers in the nation last season, catching 83 passes for 1,299 yards and 12 touchdowns.
